Hip-hop star Busta Rhymes reportedly exploded with rage when a young gay fan touched him on the shoulder at a diner in Miami, Fla., on Sunday morning.
The hitmaker is still recovering from the shooting of his bodyguard and friend Israel Ramirez outside a New York City warehouse last month.
Eyewitness Thomas Barker tells Page Six, "The restaurant was packed with transvestites, gay men and drag queens, which obviously made Busta a little edgy.
"This became evident when a young gay guy came up behind Busta and tapped him on the shoulder to congratulate the rapper on his recent comeback.
"Before the guy could even mutter a word, Busta turned around and repeatedly screamed, 'Why the [bleep] you touchin' me, man? Get the [bleep] away from me.'
"His two huge bodyguards then caused an even larger scene by pushing the kid away. ... Busta quietly whispered to his bodyguards, 'I hate [bleeping] [bleeps], man.'"
Sharon Stone is telling randy teenagers to have oral sex instead of giving up their virginity.
The Aids campaigning actress - who appears fully nude in new film, 'Basic Instinct 2' - says it's safer than going all the way without protection.
She said: "Young people talk to me about what to do if they're being pressed for sex.
"I tell them what I believe - oral sex is a hundred times safer than vaginal or anal sex.
"If you're in a situation where you cannot get out of sex, offer something else. I'm not embarrassed to tell them."
Meanwhile, Stone, who has two adopted sons, has revealed she's shocked her lesbian antics in the original movie still spark outrage.
She revealed: "It's strange. It's like it's OK she's a psychopath but the fact she might be homosexual is like a big deal. It's not so bad now as it was back then but it's still an issue for some people.
Earlier this year, Stone was voted the sexiest "older woman" in the world.
The 48-year-old beauty topped the poll by top US magazine 'Sly' beating a host of middle aged beauties to the title.
The magazine, owned by Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, said Stone won because "her potency to the male libido rivals that of Viagra".
Sharon Stone as Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct 2 Confronts Risk Addiction
Basic Instinct, the sequel to Paul Verhoeven 1992’s controversial movie, has finally hit the Hollywood screens. This year Sharon Stone, 48, comes back as Catherine Tramell and makes a stir with her nude scenes.... Again!
"Basic Instinct 1" rocketed Sharon Stone to international stardom. As the mind-gaming, sociopathic serial killer Catherine Tramell, Stone created an iconic femme fatale. The film’s unforgetable interrogation scene in now Hollywood classic.
It's no surprise, this time around Stone doesn’t seem worried about public reaction to what promises to be a very sexy movie. Shortly, "Basic Instinct 2" hits the theaters and early reports are that it’s racier than the first.
In an interview with People, Stone said:
"What is such a big deal about nudity? If the person is in the bedroom with a sheet covering them, that's more of a lie than seeing a saggy old butt."
Stone puts a lot of emphasis on the fact that she is an older woman doing the nude scenes.
"I thought it would be intriguing to do the nudity in a way that is just quite brazen. People are going to have this moment where they think, 'Oh, she's not 20 and naked. She's 40-something and naked and what do I think about that?' Because we're not used to seeing that in movies, she told reporters.
This sequel to the 1992’s movie brings back Catherine Tramell, who faces her risk-addiction with the help of criminal psychiatrist Dr. Glass, played by David Morissey.
In between the two "Basic Instincts," the actress has been nominated for an Oscar and three Golden Globes, has been married and divorced, adopted two children, and is doing humanitarian work — raising millions of dollars for causes like AIDS research. Since Basic Instinct 1, Stone has had roles in both steamy and critically-acclaimed movies like "Sliver," "The Quick and the Dead," "Casino," "The Mighty," "The Muse," and "Catwoman."
In another interview, this one with the Manilla Bulletin, Stone responded to a few other interesting questions:
What made you take the role again in Basic Instinct 2?
First of all, I would say don’t be late to the theater. The opening scene is a goody. (laughter). Well, let’s face it. It’s a fun part. It’s a super challenging part. For all that people wanted to say about her, "That’s just how she is," "Nobody’s just like that"— I’m scared of her. She’s scary. She’s skinny, she’s gorgeous, she’s all-knowing. She’s fabulous. She has great hair. I mean, just to get dressed up and go to the premiere, it’s like, "I can’t be her." I’m more like, "Do I have baby puke on me?"
Can you tell us some scenes in the film that really excited you?
It certainly is eye-catching— the pedal to the medal joy ride that ends underwater with Sharon doing her own stunt work. I got in the water in 4-inch heels in this little dress and the jewelry and the thing. And as I go down, I’m realizing they’ve got all these lights under the water, and the car and the camera. And I’m like, "I’m going to get electrocuted!"
Was an orgy scene critical to the movie?
Well, I think it was provocative and relevant to who the character is. I mean, I can’t go in and say, "I’m going to re-write the script to suit some personal need of mine."
Stone may be more comfortable with the Tramell charater than studio executives. When she saw that the movie had been cut, she was .... (politely put)... dismayed.
She explained that when [she] saw the rough cut of the film they had taken a lot of stuff out.
"Where's all the crazy stuff I did? What are we toning it down for?,’" she asked.
This might mean the movie has been cleaned-up for our delicate sexual proclivities.
Fans anxious to see Tramell dominate again with delicious naughtiness may have to wait for the director’s cut.
LOS ANGELES - Denzel Washington's reunion with Spike Lee put them on the inside track at the box office.
Their bank-hostage thriller "Inside Man," an unusually commercial project for director Lee, debuted as the No. 1 weekend film with $29 million - the best opening ever for both the filmmaker and his star, according to studio estimates Sunday.
Universal's "Inside Man" knocked off the previous weekend's top movie, the Warner Bros. action tale "V for Vendetta," which slipped to second with $12.3 million. "V for Vendetta" raised its 10-day total to $46.2 million.
Disney's fright flick "Stay Alive," featuring Frankie Muniz in a tale about a video game that brings death to its players, premiered in third place with $11.2 million.
The weekend's other new wide release, Lionsgate's "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector," a gross-out romp starring comic Dan Whitney investigating a food-poisoning outbreak, opened at No. 7 with $7.05 million.
Stung by declining revenues over the last year, Hollywood broke out of its latest slump, with the top-12 movies grossing $98.9 million, up 10.6 percent from the same weekend a year ago. The upswing followed a month of declines.
The solid weekend was a prelude to this Friday's debut of the animated sequel "Ice Age: The Meltdown," considered an early lead-in to a summer season that launches with Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible 3" on May 5.
"This was a good kickoff to what I think will be a pretty good run leading up to summer," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations.
"Inside Man," starring Washington, Jodie Foster and Clive Owen in a story of cops against robbers during a Manhattan bank heist, exceeded box-office expectations for distributor Universal, which had figured on a $20 million weekend at best.
Lee and Washington's earlier collaborations include "Malcolm X" and "He Got Game."
At $29 million, "Inside Man" topped Washington's previous best opening weekend of $22.8 million for "Man on Fire" and Lee's previous best of $11.1 million for "The Original Kings of Comedy."
Two-thirds of viewers for "Inside Man" were older than 30, a promising sign for Hollywood, whose key audience of young males has been less inclined to go to the movies with so many other entertainment distractions such as video games and DVDs.
"They were motivated to go. They love the material, they love the actor," said Nikki Rocco, Universal's head of distribution. "It's the motivation to get them to go to the movies, and I hope that we as an industry keep that up. If we want the business to survive, we have to continue to find ways to motivate them."
"Inside Man" also took in $9.6 million over its opening weekend in 18 other countries.
Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc. Final figures will be released Monday.
1. "Inside Man," $29 million.
2. "V for Vendetta," $12.3 million.
3. "Stay Alive," $11.2 million.
4. "Failure to Launch," $10.8 million.
5. "The Shaggy Dog," $9.1 million.
6. "She's the Man," $7.4 million.
7. "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector," $7.05 million.
8. "The Hills Have Eyes," $4.25 million.
9. "Eight Below," $2.7 million.
10. "16 Blocks," $2.2 million.
The top word search listed for technorati today is unhinged. Bloggers propose that this is because Ben Domenech was editor of Unhinged, a book by Michelle Malkin. Domenech, the term, scored highly today also.
Ben Domenech until is recent resignation, was a conservative blogger for washingtonpost.com. He resigned Friday, a day after salon.com alleged that Domenech had plagiarized movie reviews as a journalist in college.
On March 24, Jim Brady, the executive editor of washingtonpost.com, posted the following:
"In the past 24 hours, we learned of allegations that Ben Domenech plagiarized material that appeared under his byline in various publications prior to washingtonpost.com contracting with him to write a blog that launched Tuesday," said Jim Brady, executive editor of the Washington blog.
"An investigation into these allegations was ongoing, and in the interim, Domenech has resigned, effective immediately," Brady said in a statement posted on the newspaper's Web site.
Domenech had been hired to write for the blog, Red America. Brady said washingtonpost.com was unaware of the allegations when Domenech was hired.
Salon.com accused Domenech of using material by its writers without attribution while he was a student columnist at the College of William & Mary. Domenech attended William & Mary, but he did not earn a degree, college spokesman William Walker has reported.
Domenech left college to take a job as a speechwriter for Tommy Thompson, a former secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. Until now, Domenech, was best known as founder of RedState.com, a conservative blog. His resignation marks the second time this year that washingtonpost.com has been challenged with its blogs and bloggers.
In January, the Web site chose to shut down a blog because readers posted personal attacks against the ombudsman of the Washington Post. Later, that blog was restored.
